About

The Red Armchair

After every Liverpool game, I move my euphoric or depressed behind from the couch and onto the proverbial Red Armchair to do some serious pondering about Jordan Henderson’s hair products, Charlie Adam’s teeth and Steven Gerrard’s groin.

And now, I move my proverbial Red Armchair to the wonderful plane of existence known as the blogosphere.

I intend to update this blog with my mundane musings and rambling rants after every Premier League game (unfortunately, my cable coverage only allows so much, but I will get my hands on 3am Cup coverage if we make it far enough). My posts will cover mostly Red topics, but I like to think about other EPL news, as well as other goings-on in other leagues around the world.

Please – join me for a lazy and relaxed discussion on all things Red. Yours for a great low price, unlike Fernando Torres.

The Author

Hi, I’m Vince, a Liverpool diehard and your typical armchair fan: besides April 2011′s 1-1 at the Emirates and 5-0 trouncing of Birmingham at Anfield, the only other Liverpool game I’ve seen live was during the Hong Kong tour some summers ago, when Michael Owen was still our star attraction and when Steven Gerrard still had a boyish buzzcut. (If you haven’t gathered that Steven Gerrard is somewhat of an obsession…well, Steven Gerrard is my favorite player. There.)

Raised in Hong Kong, educated in the US (now back in Hong Kong full-time), and a copious reader of British football news, I have a writing style, when it comes to football/soccer journalism, that marries all of the above influences. It’ll grow on you, I promise.

I’m also a Liverpool Featured Columnist on the Bleacher Report, where I regularly write on other issues around the football world (mostly on the EPL). Feel free to check out my profile and work here.

A penny for your thoughts.
